Premium Audi Oil Service - why we select oil individually at Szulc Motorsport

Engine Protection Beyond Standard

Many drivers believe that choosing engine oil ends with checking the manufacturer approval. At Szulc Motorsport, specializing in Audi / VAG vehicles, we look at engine lubrication far beyond a standard oil change.

Oil approval is only the starting point. A daily driven 2.0 TDI works differently than a modified 2.0 TFSI EA888, a 3.0 TDI, 4.2 TDI, RS7 4.0 TFSI or a classic Audi S8 D2 4.2 V8.

That is why at Szulc Motorsport we treat oil servicing as part of engine diagnostics and long-term protection, not simply as replacing a fluid.

504/507, 508/509 and 511 approvals - not every oil specification suits every driving style

Modern Audi / VAG engines use different oil standards such as VW 504.00/507.00, VW 508.00/509.00 and VW 511.00. Each one serves a different purpose.

  • VW 504.00/507.00: a very popular specification for many TDI and TFSI engines. Works well with DPF equipped vehicles under normal driving conditions and regular servicing.
  • VW 508.00/509.00: ultra low viscosity oils designed mainly for fuel economy and emissions reduction. Excellent for certain new engines, but not always ideal for tuned cars, high mileage engines or heavy-duty driving.
  • VW 511.00 and modern 0W40 oils: intended for higher output engines and extreme thermal loads where oil film stability and high temperature protection become critical.

2.0 TDI EA189 / EA288 - a daily driver engine that benefits greatly from proper lubrication

2.0 TDI engines are among the most frequently serviced Audi / VAG units. In these engines, not only the oil approval matters, but also cold-start lubrication, turbocharger protection, oil cleanliness, hydraulic operation stability and DPF protection.

EA189 and EA288 diesel engines react very strongly to oil film quality, especially regarding turbocharger lubrication, hydraulic components and timing system operation.

A properly selected oil package can noticeably reduce diesel harshness, improve engine smoothness and minimize metallic engine noise.

2.0 TFSI EA888 - protecting the timing system, turbocharger and high temperature operation

In 2.0 TFSI EA888 engines, the issue is often not the oil itself, but how it behaves under real-world conditions: high temperatures, direct injection, turbocharging, timing chain tensioners, high-pressure fuel pumps and LSPI risk.

That is why we use advanced lubrication setups in turbocharged Audi petrol engines to improve oil film stability and overall engine refinement.

The result most clients notice immediately is quieter engine operation, reduced metallic noise, smoother throttle response and calmer operation after full warm-up.

3.0 TDI and 4.2 TDI - high torque requires serious protection

Large Audi diesel engines generate enormous torque, which means extremely high loads on bearings, timing systems, turbochargers and the lubrication system itself.

For these engines, oil selection must consider mileage, driving style, oil temperatures, timing system condition, turbocharger operation and DPF / SCR systems.

At Szulc Motorsport we create premium lubrication packages that provide a larger safety margin than a standard oil service.

RS, S, TFSI and V8 biturbo engines - where oil works under extreme conditions

In powerful Audi petrol engines such as S6, S8, RS6, RS7, modified 2.0 TFSI, V6 TFSI and 4.0 TFSI V8 biturbo, the oil must withstand extreme heat and heavy load.

Here it is not only about viscosity numbers. Oil film strength, thermal stability, turbocharger protection, piston ring cleanliness, hydraulic stability and high-speed autobahn driving resistance become crucial.

That is why these engines require completely different lubrication strategies than a normally driven diesel vehicle.

Classic Audi V8 engines - old-school construction requires a different approach

Engines such as the Audi S8 D2 4.2 V8 should not be treated the same way as modern engines designed for ultra-low viscosity oils.

Older V8 engines depend heavily on oil film thickness, stable hot oil pressure, quiet hydraulic operation and proper protection at high RPM.

Sometimes a properly selected lubrication setup can improve engine refinement more effectively than replacing random parts.

Szulc Motorsport - we do not simply pour oil from a barrel

At Szulc Motorsport we do not select oil automatically. We analyze the specific engine, mileage, service history, driving style, operating symptoms, temperatures, load conditions and real-world experience with Audi / VAG engines.

We do not use random additives or marketing gimmicks. Every lubrication setup is individually selected for the specific engine, mileage, operating temperature and vehicle usage.

For one vehicle, a 504/507 setup may be ideal. For another, a modern 508/509 specification may work best. High-performance petrol or RS engines may benefit more from 511 approval or advanced 0W40 based lubrication setups. Older V8 engines often require a completely different strategy.

What does the client gain?

After a properly performed oil service, clients often notice:

  • quieter engine operation,
  • faster hydraulic stabilization after startup,
  • smoother engine refinement,
  • better throttle response,
  • more stable operation at full temperature,
  • greater confidence during dynamic driving.

This is not just an oil change. This is individually tailored lubrication service for Audi engines.
